The main benefit of Cranberry Seed Essential Oil is that it has the ability to absorb well. It contains a variety of nutrients and compounds that benefit the skin, hair and scalp in its ability to moisturize. It can be and is often used as a carrier oil for other essential oils.

As a treatment for the hair, apply a blend of Cranberry Seed Essential Oil with a few drops of Lavender and Rosemary to damp hair and leave on overnight. Rinse out in the morning.

It is exceptionally helpful for oily skin since it will not block pores. It has the ability to increase the turnover of skin cells, so it can also be effective for dry, scaly skin. Additionally, it helps to reduce the appearance of scarring.

When used as a carrier for other essential oils, Cranberry Seed Oil will enhance the elasticity of skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and prevent skin damage from sun exposure. Cranberry Seed Essential Oil can also be used to repair irritated, cracked skin that is itchy, dry, and scaly. It has successfully been used to soothe Eczema and psoriasis as well.

With one of the highest antioxidant contents, Cranberry Seed Essential Oil has the ability to remove free radicals from the body. It is high in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and essential fatty acids as well. It is a light, cold-pressed oil that absorbs very quickly into the skin, but is also very gentle so that it can be used on the most sensitive skin, even on babies.

Native Americans have long used cranberries as a food, fabric dye, and medicinally as well. American whalers and mariners also used it on their voyages to prevent scurvy.
